Chen Kun Te

Mr. Chen Kun Te graduated from the Department of Statistics and Information Science of Fu Jen Catholic University in 1979. He served as the system engineer, sales consultant, and deputy general manager at Unisys Taiwan from 1979 to 1996; the deputy manager and deputy general manager at Chinatrust Commercial Bank from 1996 to 2004; and the president of Ping An Bank from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Chen then worked in China Merchants Bank (CMB) as the director of wealth management from 2007 to 2014 and chief information officer from 2014 to 2019. After retiring from CMB, he joined Huawei and is now the chief digital transformation officer of financial services at the Enterprise Business Group. Mr. Chen has been in charge of strategic positioning, business process transformation, brand strategy, operations, and risk control of retail banking, credit card, consumer finance, wealth management, and private banking services for many years. He created credit card and RMB services at Ping An Bank, as well as established an operations and appraisal system for wealth management and private banking at CMB. Furthermore, he has formulated CMB's FinTech development strategy and helped CMB determine its positioning as a FinTech-based bank. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience and a keen insight into financial services and financial-technology integration.

Prior to WeBank, Henry has served as General Manager at Ping An Technology Co., Ltd. Prior to that, Henry had lived and worked in Silicon Valley for more than 10 years. Henry has received his Bachelor of Science degree with Highest Honors from UC Berkeley and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University. With years of professional studies and working experience, Henry had successfully completed the IT integration and constructed the management system for many well-known enterprises.
